(School Laws of Oklahoma 2002, Article XVI: Textbooks; 322-345)
Welcome to the Textbook Review Center at OPSU. McKee Library is a Textbook Review Center for the panhandle of Oklahoma. After the Oklahoma State Department of Education adoption process for each subject cycle, McKee Library catalogs the adoption materials for our curriculum collection.
Teachers can come during the open hours of library to review materials. Anyone wishing to review adoption materials have to sign in at the front desk. Since the materials are not considered owned by OPSU until after the adoption process, the library cannot check them out to anyone. All materials must remain in the textbook review center.
The Curriculum Collection at McKee Library provides samples of pre-K through grade 12 instructional resources within O.P.S.U.’s teacher education program areas for use by the university community. A variety of materials are housed in the Curriculum Collection which, in combination with the resources of the general collection, directly support the education and education-related curricula of Oklahoma Panhandle State University. Changes in curricula within the university and changes implemented by the Oklahoma State Department of Education may determine additions or deletions from the core Curriculum Collection.
Location of Review Center
The textbook review center is located on the second floor of McKee Library in ML 205.
